Lookbook: Zara at Hidden Valley

Happy Friday my loves! Now that I’m free from the shackles of confinement, days of the week is just another opportunity for me to explore what I like, what I don’t like and things that have never occurred to me. I no longer hate Mondays (surprise surprise!) but Fridays will always be Fridays! 🙂 Previously I published a post about my day spent at Hidden Valley and my dining experience at Overture, if you missed it click here. I didn’t want to overdo it with the photos so I promised another separate lookbook post on what I wore that day.

It was totally unintentional that the total look was by Zara! The top is actually a recent purchase while we were in Cape Town, I just love how comfy it is. The shoes I absolutely love as well, it just goes with everything and it’s actually my very first pair of kitten heels, I never quite appreciated the petite heels before (it looked granny to me) but I guess it’s how you wear it. What do you think?

Lookbook: Camps Bay Drive

Happy Wednesday! There’s something about Wednesday that is very appealing to me (not because it’s Hump Day, take your mind out the gutter), that feeling of serving half way through the week and knowing that it’s extra close to Friday. Well, that’s pretty much how I felt for as long as I can remember, I always loved Wednesdays.

If you follow me on social media or read some of my recent posts, you will know that I was in Durban and Cape Town for over 3 weeks in total. I must admit that living out my luggage for that long is a nightmare and all I can say is, I am SO happy to be back in Johannesburg and back in my own home. The smell of my own home and the feeling of my own bedding in my own bed, it was a joyous moment for me indeed. Would I be away for that long again? Probably, until I get bored of this place again and my travel bug sets in yearning for adventure and a new destination. We will be going away again in April but until then I’m happily in my old routine, which I find comfort in.

During our stay in Cape Town, we stayed in Camps Bay for the first week, absolutely AMAZING! Then we moved to Century City for the last couple of days… which I hated (I’m not even going to hold back about that fact). It was windy all the time in Century City and the beach isn’t down the road like how it was, not ideal! We drove through Camps Bay Drive during sunset on the way back the one day and we decided to stop to take some photos. The view was just so breathtaking and the feeling of the warm sun on your face together with a cool breeze was a winner for me.
