New York Fashion Week (NYFW) 2015

Hi my loves! If you’re a fashion lover, you probably know that NYFW just came and gone, which left retailers scrambling to put in their next stock orders. It has THAT big of an impact in the fashion industry, with dozens of designers, new and old showcasing their predictions and trends for the coming season. Of course if you’re not into fashion but more into beauty and makeup, the catwalk is no longer a place which showcases items of clothing but also makeup trends for the up and coming months of the year. That’s why it’s always good to keep your eyes peeled during the Fashion Weeks in the world, it’s really an eye-opener.

I’ve put together a few runway looks that really stood out for me from various designers…

DKNY 15 February 2015

There was an obvious back-to-school trend from the DKNY collection consisting of greys, royal blues and bright reds. The collection consisted of blazers, high collars and defined shoulders, the contours of the pieces are nothing sort of masculine and slightly… intimidating.

Tory Burch 17 February 2015

There’s nothing short of chic and feminine in the Tory Burch collection, inspired by a Moroccan theme, it’s loud but not unrealistic. You will find neutral colours with a lot of print, printed coats, embellished skirts and beautiful lines flowing as the models make their way down the runway. Makeup is natural, modern with groomed brows.

Anna Sui 18 February 2015

Anna Sui’s collections over the years have always instantly appealed to me. Partly because I am brave enough to wear the items she ensembles for the runway but it’s always so effortless and fits perfectly together. This collection was inspired by the programme “Vikings”, can you sense it? The tribal patterns and Mongolian lambskin, these models are the modernĀ Viking Princesses, fit for the streets of New York.

What are your favourite runway looks form NYFW? Let me know! Hope you enjoyed this post!

With love…xxx
